6 months- Happy Half Birthday!

Wow, it has been a very busy month.  I apologize for not updating more often, but school and life is just really stressful.  Anyway, on a happier note, baby girl is 6 months old today!  She is such a special part in our lives.  She is really becoming Miss Busy.  If she has been at an activity for more than 5 minutes, then she must be in love with it, because most of the time, she is going from one thing to the next.  She has not starting crawling yet, but she has gotten the reverse movement down.  She can turn herself in circles, and has pretty good control of her upper body while on her tummy.  She can, for very short periods, hold a plank position while leaning on us.   She loves to sit in the kitchen while Joe and I cook, either playing or "talking" to us about her day. She is a total food lover.  If you have food, and she isn't eating, she is very concentrated on watching you eat.  When you do give her a taste or give her her food, her mouth opens wide, like a little bird.  She is still a very happy baby and her smiles will make anyone's day.

6 month stats:
- Roughly 25 inches long
- approximately 14 pounds
- beginning to get out of 0-3 month clothes, but 3-6 month clothes are still a tad big
- wearing size 2 diapers
- same eating schedule as last month, maybe with a little more food
- bedtime still the same, and she doesn't find bedtime much anymore
- will sleep the whole night, but has been keeping a strict schedule of waking up at 4:30 for daddy to put the paci back in her mouth, then stir around 5:30 for breakfast
- scoots (mainly backwards)
- loves being on her tummy, but is starting to want to play while sitting up more than on her tummy or back
- very good at grasping and keeping hold of objects
- has imitated something Joe was doing with his mouth once, and she loves to blow raspberries
- just a beautiful baby, and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.
