Last Sunday was Audri's baby dedication at church on Mother's Day. It was a nice little program, there were 11 children/babies getting dedicated, but they had pictures scrolling for each baby, so it was individualized some and very well done.
Audriana means "strength, nobility" and while we loved the name before we knew the meaning, once we knew the meaning, it was definitely the name we wanted to name our baby girl. In Jewish times, a name wasn't just a name, it was in a sense, labeling character/personality for that individual. While we are not that extreme, Joe and I both approach a name and its meaning seriously. So, my prayer for my little girl is that she find strength in the Lord. She is already a princess to the King. May she grow up with confidence and self-esteem, but may it come from her relationship to Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that she accepts Jesus at a young age and continues to grow in her relationship the rest of her life. We pray that God is not only directing her steps, but the steps of her future husband, so that they may have a pure and Christ-centered bond. I can't wait to see how my little girl is going to grow and blossom. She has an over-the-top personality already (and it some instances, really fits her name), her smiles are pure gold, she loves to talk, and she really does seem to have a gentle approach to others. Join me in praying for Audriana Grace Lopez, and keep me accountable to be a Christ-centered parent/example.
