8 months
Audriana is 8 months today!!! Time is just flying by. These past couple of weeks has been our first experience with a sick baby. She had a small virus, it went away, and then probably came back and then created a small ear infection. She has had her moments of fussiness with the sickness, but mainly, nothing has gotten her down. She has really started crawling, babbling more syllables ("baba", which I think is close to "mama"), eating more table food, and getting into EVERYTHING! I do not have any "cutesie" 8 month pictures since she was already in bed (at 6 tonight) before I got home from a school meeting, but here are several I took yesterday while I stayed home with her. Granny, recognize the toy? She is manipulating and moving the shapes by herself.
8 month stats:
-15 pounds, 6 ounces (and that is with being sick over the past couple of weeks off and on)
- length: 25-26ish inches
- growing out of some 3-6 month clothing, still fitting in most
- eats 5 times a day (3 times with food as well as a bottle)
- sleeping has been hit and miss because of illness, but when she is feeling well, she will sleep from 8 to 6:15 (sometimes waking up anywhere between 4-6 to eat).
- crawling
- pulling up to sitting, and at times, pulling up all the way to standing
- standing up on props (pillows, mommy or daddy)
- starting to grab little bits of food to feed herself
- giggling more and more
- recognizing her name
- loves to splash in the bathtub, starting to shake obejcts and bang them around.
- Just these past couple of days, she seems to want to try to "feed" us her paci.
- "talking" in syllables
- really wanting to be more interactive with Sancho, she will look for him, and "call" to him, and pets him. She is not a fan of him putting his nose in her face though.
- She really is a happy baby, adapts well to new places, but gets thrown off if mommy or daddy are missing from her routine for more than one day. She is such a blessing and every day, Joe and I marvel at how much love we have for her.
