At 7 months:
- from last week's dr's appointment: 13 pounds, 14 ounces. 25 inches long.
- finishing up 0-3 month clothes and really getting into 3-6 month clothes
- got her first two teeth starting at the end of Christmas break
- is definitely an active "scooter" and is very close to crawling, as you can see from the pictures
- sitting by herself pretty well, but she loses interest and just wants to be on her tummy and scoot along
- loves her activity jumper. She sits in it in the kitchen while Joe and I cook, and she will "talk" to us as we discuss our day
- is staring to understand "uppies" which means for her to lift her arms up to be lifted up, and she will hold her arms out to mommy and daddy
- eating food 2-3 times a day. Joe and I are starting to puree our dinners for her. She LOVES apple sauce, has enjoyed bacon, chicken fried steak with gravy and biscuits, chicken alfredo, and tonight she loved our carne guisada with avocado and cheese
- she moves objects from one hand to the other, and has begun to manipulate beads on a wire if they are on her toys
- she grasps objects well, and has had some opportunities to "pinch" baby snacks and put it to her mouth
- she is now sitting in restaurant high chairs and store shopping carts with the help of those amazing covers and a blanket to help fill her in.
- her smiles are still the most precious thing about her and she melts anyone in her vicinity when she smiles.
